Is anyone taking CFA level 1 exam in June or even December? If so and if you have the books, I would like to buy them from you when you are done.

Thanks.

P.S. I am looking for the original books issued by the CFA institute, not the Schweser books.

With June exam being only 10 days away and December exam being even further away, I wonder if anyone would be selling you the books at this time. Personally, I think the books are too good to be sold. However, most of the material in those books cover the topic you can find in books of Finance. The cover some Statistics, Economics, and Accounting. The main thing unique in those books is the chapters on Ethical and Professional Standards set forth by the CFA Institute.

You may want to post again sometime in June/July. If you don't find a seller, you might want to study the Finance books for a while until you register for the exam and buy the books directly from the CFA Institute.

Hope this helps.

Hey thanks for the advice. But like i said, i am willing to wait for you to finish your exam before you decide to sell me the books. I can't register with the CFA institute right now and get the books from them because I am planning to take the exam next summer (registration from next summer hasn't opened yet).. but i just want to start studying now.
I heard "Kaplan Schweser" and "Stalla" also have good books that can be useful. Anybody recommend that?

You should be able to find some torrents for Schweser's Practice Exam for June 2009 Level 1 exam. Volume 1 and 2 are about 650 pages combined. That should give you a good idea and practice. I don't think I will sell my CFA books because I want to keep them for future use. But I have also realized that my college notes and books helped me a lot to refresh the material that I studied in class and now I see in the CFA books.

If I were you, I would sell those books as soon as I could. They will have no market value once CFAI comes out with subsequent updates. If you need the reference after you are done with your designation, there are piles in the internet. So why keep expensive junk at home?

$220 for six books. You call that expensive? I'd rather keep it than sell it for that price.
