Hello guys,

I am going Nepal for H1 visa application next week. Currently working on a project with client and my employer is desi company. I have about 2 weeks to get it done at KTM. Does anyone have any comments, suggestion or recommendation or share your experience. Would appreciate that,

Thanks

i know lot of people had got stuck. even though u have the h1 b approval and paystubs they had full right to reject your visa and that is what they have been doing these days.

Pack,Do a detailed research and plan leaving the country. I dont mean to scare you, but recently therehave been many issues with H1B holders, esp the people working in the IT field narrowing down to thoseemployed by Desi Companies. Like I said, gather info from everyone u know. There has also been a case where an H1B stammped from India was not allowed to re-enter the country. So, pls be very, very careful inleaving the country. Good Luck!

Hi Pack

It is always nice to go back to home country, seeing a families, and frens. But is not that suggestive to go now, i guess especially for the stamping. So better do some more homework, and do try. Never give up.

Three weeks before one of my fren  was asked only two questions and was granted, but one the same day heard three of the poor guys  got denied though had current projects from desi co. So if Desi means not easy.

Good Luck.

doesn't matter desi or american..........if you have project leave ie you will be continuing your work immediately upon your arrival then you MIGHT get visa but if you are done with project and if you have to search for new project then they will reject visa

don't ask for people who got visa 3-4 months ago.........ask those people who got visa within one month

Not a good time to go back to Nepal for stamping. Unless its an emergency, I'd rather wait for the things to settle down. Desi companies are being audited more than ever. Not trying to discourage, but this is the fact.

I heard that we must go to Nepal for stamping and Canada/Mexico is closed starting Jan 2009.

Ask those people who did stamping recently not before Jan.
