Money Transfer- DO NOT use Muncha, Use Banks
Using Muncha for Money transfer can cause issues with new rules at Nepal. Found this hard way, With new rules, that is to monitor source of income, and proof of money that is remitted to Nepal, can be easily accepted by the Govt, if money is sent through Banks, and it can be sent to any members of your family, or friends, with message or proof that it was to be given or hand over to your family.
NOT so with Muncha. Muncha the Boss says, if your brother was the reciepient, income becomes ONLY of your brother, not to any other member of your family.
Further, they won't even give in writing, You sent money to your family - (Brother as a recipient), They want the person who receive money to be at Muncha office at New Road to get that letter. Muncha basically creates their OWN rule.
Think of ahead.. avoid any such issues if any, later. Use Banks, even rates is higher enough to subset their transfer fees. No need to go through SSN, and stringent investigation to transfer money through banks, unlike Muncha.
- you may have different experiences, this was mine. Good Luck
I send almost 7 thousand this in last 10 months, but I did not have problem with Muncha. They directly deposited on the recepent bank account.
I don't know the new rule.
Have you ever use moneygram. I tried to send money one time through Muncha but they ask for my SSN, Bank info and I have to send check and hell lot of procedure. I went to money gram deposited money and called home and they got money in less then half hour.
How sweet !!! I never had problem with Money Gram.
For muncha, I didn't like to give my SSN, and whole lot of stuffs they were asking for. Just go to near by moneygram and they are cheapest one too. I am happy with that even they don't give you that good rate in Nepal.
western union or monegram..easiest and most convinient!!!and much more faster!!
I am happy with muncha's service and will be using it in future.
dunno about moneygram but western union's conversion rate might not be as favorable as at the bank.
The best deal I found is with Washington Mutual. If your party has an account at the Everest Bank in Nepal. No fees for wire transfer, rates based on NRB, no commissions. No hassle. Next day. Best Deal.
