one more thing, there is noting much different in CPA exam during 04 and 09 apart from few. The repetition of is unlikely, so doesn't matter what you study, just know everything

May be not much difference for accounting, auditing but it makes lot difference in Business law and taxation.

Am I correct????

It should be a big difference in BEC because of added IT and Internal Control section. Regulations may have changed alot compared to what it was in 2005 because of change in tax codes. There were about 150 FAS issued by FASB in 2005 which has increased to 163 now so there should be some changes in FAR too. Audit should basically be same.

Everyone here is true, definitely there are some changes in all the aspects of exam, and there will be more changes in days to come (may be by the time I will take the exams) as US will adopt IFRS.The main motto behind using preparatory books for the professional exams are getting to know how to crack the problems. Any material you will get is insufficient until you have a complete knowledge. For the latest knowledge, you don't even have to have books, just use the respective official sites.

BTW I'm using Bisk CPA review book 2009 for me, I had some pdf from Wiley, so shared it, though it was from 04/05

Goodluck to all who are preparing the exams.

One more thing, rather than just arguing in what is good or what is not, why dont we share some idea about the exams if may be helpful to all.

Will appreciate anyone with some better ideas.

knock out FAR and REG first...i found them to be the toughtest...if you are working somewhere in audit...it should not be hard...i found BEC to be the easiest...atleast for me.

Hi Guys,

I also completed all 4 parts of CPA last year being in Japan. I found the confidence and time management is the most important to tackle the CPA exams. You should have the gut to throw out the whole section sometimes when you feel it is out of your capacity to solve the problems. Good luck guys.

Deshbaktanepal:: How is the scope of CPA in the USA recently? Is there any recruiter who is ready to hire someone from Japan,  having only US-CPA in hand without any US degree.
