Economic crisis vako bela jaha pane testai cha garo cha aus, us , europe jata pani ... tara life ma bachni tari ka dherai chan .... so dont take ta short cut wayyyyy ... few people acts reflects the whole community !!!!!

I think main problen of people going abroad is

a) Hiding the truth of condition they are facing in abroad to family and relative

b) Going abroad without knowing any situation over there and just thinking that kahi ta gariyalani gayase ... kahi ta bato laglanii ... yaha baserani k garniii ....???? bides ho kehi ta vaehalchani ?????????

So, i will suggest to every brother/sister over nepal or other country dont not send thier bro/sis to abroad unless you see their safe future over there ..................

We dont wan such type of news about the people of nepal any more ????? it really hearts us >>>>>>>>>>>

Fully agree with Sumedhu but it applies equally to girls from any other countries where they do not enjoy the same freedom as where they end up... May sounds sexist but this is a true observation for me too..

षुमेधु;

Let me quote this from SKH,
 "Think what you can do for your country and
NOT
what your country can do for you"

Diz is for all the bideshi Nepali hi ta. After getting GC/PR, never want to look back towards Nepal.

I find interesting how many of the educated people in Nepal still believe in male chauvinism, sexism and prejudices within. Education, experiences, influences and outlooks should have given us enough feedback to annul our misconception regarding male supremacy, but time and again, we find ourselves being victimized by our same old approach. We should have understood long ago that men and women both are human beings and although anatomically different they both should be given equal privileges in all grounds. Unfortunately that has not happened yet, especially when I see an extremely predisposed thread as this one supported by many.

Have we ever questioned ourselves if we hesitate becoming a gigolo?... I guess not, it never crosses our mind about the infamy it would create, instead we would be simply happy to get paid for sex. If it is an inconsequential matter for men, why should there be so much fanfare for women? Our Culture? Give me a break…but we are talking about physical and emotional liberation here, which are our rights and our decision no matter where we belong. Society? What society…. if it still supports the outmoded proposal that men are the bread earners while women are limited to chores?

Why don’t we understand this simple fact that given a little freedom, especially out of that claustrophobic society of Nepal, we want to get in terms with our sexuality, our extroversion and decimate our angst which perhaps necessitates change in our style of living and our eating habits? Women smoking cigarettes are still viewed scornfully in Nepal, while it establishes macho image for men, isn’t that hypocrisy? Isn’t that perversion? Agreed, everything should be done in moderation, and within limits. But then again, just because when few females in Australia found a different alternative to survive (when perhaps all doors for help were closed) why is it considered a hienous crime when male Nepalese students get away with smoking marijuana and screwing around like rabbits. Mind you, if we were in their shoes, and if we were desired by the fairer sex to the same extent as they were, we would have made a career out of it.

Further I do not trust the grapevine; I do not trust our Australian ambassador who could possibly have blown it out of proportion since 8 out of 10 men in Nepal still believe that every woman smoking cigarette is a prostitute.
