From NepaliTimes.com: But then it is not really about wages, is it? It is about control and extortion.

When asked about the violent and brash behaviour of his foot soldiers, Finance Minister Baburam Bhattarai actually replied that a planned chaos was necessary to wrest control of the state. That wasn't a slip of the tongue. It is looking more and more like the game plan is to unleash anarchy for forcible state capture. Full story at http://www.nepalitimes.com.np/issue/2009/02/9/Editorial/15636

What are Maoists doing:

1. They are buying all major businesses. They have looted money.

2. They are buying hospitals, and forcing Banks to finance their purchases. They don't need any money in pocket. They need is the YCL / Maoist suffixes. Who dares not to finance YCL and Maoists?

3. Any biz that is in trouble, they will take over.

4. Any biz that has too much loan from Bank or financing company, then it is transferred to YCL and Maoists. The YCL and Maoists approach the biz house, then they ask the owner to take it to the Bank, and they forcebank to excuse all interests, and force the owner to transfer the share equivalent to the interests on the loan to YCL / Maoist (those who helped to transfer that loan ...) name.

5. Any biz that has not paid TAX for some reason, are forced to offer share in their biz equivalent to the TAX they did not pay.

6. They are transfering government resources in the name of supporting companies which they own. Recent example is the one crore rupees to the hospital the Maoists own. The Bir Hospital was always having lack of public funding, but Maoists are providing support to the companies they own.

So who is more corrupt?

I agree with GP. Maoist is more corrupt. If we turn our blind eyes on major scandal cases like Lauda, Melmachi, RNAC, Arun III, Mahakali, Dhamija etc then we can surely tell that Maoist is more corrupt than other political parities of Nepal.

I agree with GP. These maoists are the one who are most corrupted person of our nation.

Baburam can now buy a private vehicle by himself with the money he sucks from nepalese in a single day. That is why that f........er returned the national vehicle to the government. Otherwise he would have broken that vehicle into parts and sell it to nepalese in double price.

During Panchayat: (2017-2036): Corruption used to be at 1000 rupees.

During Panchayat 2.0, corruption went to 10000 rupees.

During 1990-2007: corruption rose to 100,000 rupees.

During Maoist leadership: corruption is 10s of million. Above newsclip shows the extent. Last week, we heard that they paid crores of rupees to Maoist hospital. Last year they paid Billions of rupees to their PLA. Today they are converting each private company owned by non-Maoists, to Maoists. Maoist People's Republic of Nepal bhaneko yahi ho. Have fun. Girija is coming back because of Maoists. Girija le bhane ko jasto Maoist sarkar ek aap ho jo pake pachhi jharcha bhanne kura satya hoina, satya kura ho Maoist Sarkar ko Aap Kuhiyera Jharne chha. Matter of Few months. Either Makune will be the PM (to defuse Maoists, I want MAkune as a right choice), and if Makune does not take a lead, then Girija should take a lead, and if Girija and Makune don't take a lead, then Katuwal should take a lead with the help of President, and US Embassy. Katuwal should appoint a civilian man as their puppet PM, and ask him to have a new election, and go back to barack to save the face and prestige of Nepal Army, just the way they saved their face when they fought with Khampa in 1970s. Nepal Army aau Nepal Bachau.

Nepali Prime minister Girja, Daughther and Lauda airline lease scam:-

Informed sources here said that King Birendra had accepted Chataut's resignation on the recommendation of Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala, though the minister himself had said that he had resigned because he wanted to pave the way for the investigation into the deal by the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA).

A senior official of Nepal's national carrier said that Lauda Air had reached a deal with the RNAC to lease its aircraft for a period of 18 months on payment of $3,350 for each flight hour, but added that it actually worked out to $5,000 per flight hour.

"There was no need for the deal as RNAC has not been able to fly its own two B-757 jets for the minimum guaranteed 300 flight hours a month. It was all because of political pressure as there are millions of dollars involved. The deal was done at the cost of RNAC to cover the flight hours for Lauda Air's 13-year-old leased aircraft. RNAC's aircraft will have to stay idle," the official said.
Chataut has already been questioned by the CIAA to get the facts behind the deal and the reason for keeping it under wraps. Earlier this January , the government suspended RNAC chairman Haribhakta Shrestha on the CIAA's recommendation, which said it was investigating several aviation related deals, including the Lauda Air deal.
"We hope the CIAA will go to the root of the corruption and will not give a clean cheat to others involved in the case and save the RNAC from going bankrupt," the airline official said.

RNAC leased the Boeing 767 Lauda Air aircraft in spite of the directives issued by the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) not to go ahead with the deal until investigations by a parliamentary committee into it were completed.

The PAC had questioned Chataut about flouting its directives and when he could not give an acceptable explanation, it summoned Koirala, who assured the committee that his government would take stern action against all those involved in the Lauda Air deal.
"Prime Minister Koirala had a chance to put the brakes on the deal when the PAC summoned him and he was convinced that irregularities were there. On top of everything he kept quite, which means he also has had a direct or indirect deal.

"Now the winter session of Parliament has already been summoned. This corruption scandal will be one of the heated issues and as the head of the government Prime Minister Koirala should take moral responsibility and resign from the post," another PAC member said. (IANS)

Prad, Does that thread has anything to do with the corruption of Dr. Bhattarai??......for the loggerheads like u,Girija, deuba, wagle, joshi might be still clean.................Defintely,there are many blunders of Maoist: at least they haven't been involved in any kind of economic irregularities so far...........Maoist sucks but Congress,UML,Madhesi suck big time than those ex-guerillas.If sb steps forward to control the corruption and the economic irregularities in Nepal,we definitely will have enough money to run our country by ourselves.

We Nepali will never grow.....if u had voted for congress,it doesnot mean u should protest other parties no matter what they do..criticize the wrong doings, supoort the developmental plans and provide constructive suggestions to the govt.......by this u should have learned sth from US voters..eventhough,republican folks were raising loud voices against OBAMA before the election, they simply accepted the result and hoping for the best..

SYD ACID..
Point #1: Corruption aint the only crime that politicians can do..
Point #2: Views towards Babu Ram is not inversely proportional to view towards Girija.. I mean we can hate both if both r doin wrong things

And about learning from US voters.. I will leave that to you..

My question to PC30 was genuine..
"
I just dont understand why u admire Babu Ram so much??"
I seriously want to know coz I've read many of his comments..
