john_lennon, there is no country in the world that requires a transit visa if you don't mean to get out of the airport. Airports are by definition a port into a country, and as such are treated almost as international territory. A visa gives you authority to get into the country from the port, not permission to stay in the port!

Bored, Nepalis (and many other nationalities as well) are required to have transit visas (even when you are only changing flights and do not intend to leave the airport) at many airports (UK and Hong Kong for example) barring some exceptions.

Soju, as far as I know, you do not need a transit visa for Japan.

I had once purchased a bottle of Ginseng ju while transiting at Incheon, really good stuff :):)

I think you are talking about the direct airside transit visa (DATV). that's a bit different, which is not necessary if you are going to so-called first-world countries. which implies you have a visa for that destination. if you are flying from nepal to india via the UK (dunno why you would do that but just an example), you will most definitely need at DATV.

No, you do not require a transit visa for Japan. I have travelled through Narita Airport, had a transit there for about 3-4 hours, and was not required any visa.....the airline staffguide you through one point of the transit (where u land) to the next (from where u will bedeparting for ur next flight) and dont even have go through Immigration.so, safe flight and BTW, the Narita airport is the world's most expensive airport, so be sure notto plan to get any thing from the very exp duty free!!!!!

If you wanna go 2 downtown or narita temple , then u can stamp visa @ the airport itself..ow U don't need visa. I have 9 hours transit in Japan, so went to Narita Temple. I got visa ! the Airport itself for 15 days heee.
