Hello All,
I am in a very confused situation. I got married this
year in Nepal. I am a green card holder. My wife is In nepal. I want
her to come here as soon as possible. I was thinking to bring her in as
Student (F1). So, the confusion is should I let her apply as unmarried
or should I just take a chance and let her apply as married.
If any of you have any suggestions or better idea, I will greatly appreciate.
Thank you
dude,
in my opinion, which is based on my experience seeing similar situation with people I know, it is better to have her apply as an unmarried applicant. If you were living in Nepal, then having her apply as a married person would have been plus point for her, but now that you're here in the US, declaring so would decrease her chances.....but anyways, al the best to her and to you as well.
Thanks HappyFace for your opinion.
But my opinion is why would the embassy people would want to separate a family from living separate for many years. I mean dont they realize that if I go through filing her application here as my spouse would take more than four years.
This law seems to be so unfair for people like us.
If she apply as unmarried and visa denied, you are screwed..........
GOOD LUCK
