Hello,

I was wondering what kind of arrangement people have made to pass their bank balance/insurance information to their family. Our bank account information is obviously known only to us. You might have beneficiaries listed but what if your beneficiaries don't know about that and in case an accident happen and you die, your family does not even know about the bank account. Same situation with life/accidental insurance. Actually even worse with life/accidental insurance. You might tell your family about your bank account(e.g which bank you have the account and they can contact the bank) but nobody knows about the insurances. Like my credit union provides an accidental death insurance of $10,000 for like a $1 a month. But my family does not know about it. So, if something happens to me, the bank obviously is not going to tell my family that I had the insurance.

I was wondering if anybody have thought about this and did something about it.

That's why communication is important. Tell your family where you keep your portfolio, you  never know when it can come in handy.

LemmeTelU

that is your question or suggestion to sajha user?

if that is your question then you already answer yourself "But my family does not know about it"

then go and tell your family

if that is suggestion then imply first and tell other later.

You either need to make a trust or declare your benefactor when you die for your possessions.

You should talk to a lawyer and he/she will take care of all the necessary paperwork.
