Was it right to chase Dr. Shiva Lal Acharya on Highway?

Police must begin to rethink their policies about giving chase,

when apprehension of the criminal becomes more important than the loss of innocent lives.

Was Dr. Shiva  right to ignore trafic rules and police chase on Highway?

People must begin to rethink thier spontaneous decision to overspeed while being chased by police.

******

Just stop! where you are ! whenever you realise that you made a mistake.

Any other step will drive into a serious trouble.  Fleeing does not bring you any further.

The fuel tank has only 50 Litres of Gasoline.

*****

90% of Highway chase end up with tragic accidents and loss of innocent lives.

Besides chasing, there are many other ways to catch overspeeders and criminal.

******

Who is wrong here?  Police or People !!!

***

Let´s talk and and take class on Public Saftey!!

What is your opinion?

I don't know his reason for trying to elude the police, but I think the doctor is wrong. He is an educated adult and should have a common sense to stop when he violated the traffic law. In worse case scenario, all you get is a ticket or if drunk, go to jail. It's better that killing another innocent person. He should reap what he sow.

Doctor needed to stop. Didn't. Innocent life was lost. I think it's pretty clear who is wrong.

Cops do have rules on up to how many miles to chase and to what speed should they chase. Ohio troopers gave up on the chase and informed PA troopers.

this is the matter of morality and ethics here. Dr. needs of aware that.......mistake is mistake.....its done means need to take care of that from now........everybody makes mistakes for the first time.....but repeating the same mistake time and often doesn' sound good.............so Dr. should not have done such mistakes ..........its his fault. when u realize your fault.........that is the greates achievements in life. so Do wat u feel is good.........then you will always be right.......and do right.

The job of the police is to apprehend suspects and fugitives. If the landscape where the scene is playing out is flat and is occurring during the day, then they do employ helicopters if it can be dispatched soon enough (I believe). But until themnthe police cars have to pin-point the suspect's car via a car-chase even though a fast chase is a menace to the fellow motorists. DMV and National Highway safety could educate the commuters against fleeing from police and could install signs randomly urging motorists to yield to police. And of course charges against people fleeing from cops should be made even more serious to discourage such conduct as the lives of chasing cops are endangered as well.

That "doctor" guy might have scored 95% in the residency exam but his executive summary will boil down to
"motor-vehicle homicide fugitive".

Cheers.
