How is this a sad news for any Nepalese? He committed a crime - he killed an innocent person. There is no excuse for such an act. I'm not sure why people are discussing completely irrelevant issues such as caste/religion. A crime cannot be judged with consideration to any caste/religion/race.  A doctor running away from the cops at speeds at upto 130 mph, killing a motorist - I wonder what the guy was thinking. My heartfelt condolence towards the motorcyclist's family.

Moreover, I hope he regrets what he did, and with such an outcome, I would not be suprised if he spent more than half his life serving jailtime.  I'm sure he has a family and maybe he was going through hard times, but nobody else has to pay for his mistakes. Regardless of caste/religion/race every human life is equally valuable - and nobody has the right to take someone else's life.

Good news for Nepali coz one of many bad guys is leaving from America after completing 40 yrs in Jail.

When you kill somebody while driving within speed limit it is an accident.

When you kill somebody while driving above the speed limit it is a Crime even when you exceed by 5 mile.

Accident can happen from anybody's car.But we should always follow the law or that country where we live. Dont exceed the speed limit .   Doesn't matter what other person do and how they drive. Just don't drive exceeding the limit  . And of course don't run away from the cops.  Just by following the law you yourself are putting in much better position even when you meet an accident.

Somebody told me that it was a case of drunk driving. GOD DAMN IT!

Purush bro..I dont drive like a senior citizen ok...so dont preach me How to fast I or anyone here needs to drive because I havent told anyone to drive FAST as I do. I was just sharing my experience and DONT teach me about LAW especially regarding Policing because Im a CRIMINAL JUSTICE AND LAW MAJOR GRADUATE. And there is a tolerance allowed other wise 98% of americans would get tickets everyday and there would be hundreds of state troopers per highway...SO STOP SCARING PEOPLE., You can drive a couple miles above the posted limit.......but how you drive makes You suspicious. If you are being agressive, tailgating others , frequently changing lanes without signals, no seatbelts, unsteady steering ETC even if you are doing 55 in a 55 limit or doing 70 on a 55 limit.  BUT if you do 65 in 55 but peacefully follow the cars ahead doing about the same without being agressive and a courtesy slow before a trooper is appreciated.

Back to the topic.........HE WAS A FOOL being a doctor....look at his choices and the efffect he has now brought to both families....who didnt deserve anyof this.......Nepalese or Indian or American ITS SAD.

Acharya is definitely a Nepali. One of my friend said he was his collegue while studying MBBS in IOM (teaching hospital) and Shiva Lal Acharya is a Nepali.
