It
was mundane work as usual. Last nights hangover! My head hurts, so are
legs, doctor can't say same ol' shit. It doesn't seem staring in
tranquility will work. I was killing work time;bored to death. She
started undressing; Someone help me. She needed hand lost in
transition,I was horny. I need to get work done. But she is waiting for
something else. Transfixed on her I decided to call her immediately.
But she didn't answer the phone. "What the hell!" I thought of her two
sons who were handicapped. They were all in illusion of the good world.
Then he called, but she was in the shower. She was thinking of him. She
was hoping he would leave her alone. But no, how could he, he was in
love, with a married woman with two kids and one on the way. She had
always been his love, ever since they first met when he was 5 and she
was 3. Drowned in her thoughts he decides to call her up again and
finally gets connected to the other end, "Hello Catherine!" he
goes."You again..." she answers. Avoiding the trivial chit-chat, he
musters enough courage to tell her the horrible news, "Listen
carefully, for I will never repeat this.Do you remember that old lady."
"It
was two years ago, on this very day, and i was driving home from work
when it all happened." It was raining hard outside and terrible storm
was rattling over the tin roof above him. "Old lady called me again!!"
He muttered catching his breath. "Beware, young man", she had warned
him with that ominous voice,"A day will come when all your mortal
desires shall cause you much great harm, and you shall have to make a pact with the devil himself to release you from the
eternity of hell--the pains and the suffering." Before he could reply
back he had heard the click from the other end. His final decision as
to whether or not to believe the ominous call would have to be his own,
he thought, while there was gentle knock on his door. He was afraid to
answer to door, the call has taken half his sense away. The other half
sense does not work anyway; he is blind in one eye and deaf in one ear.
Well not really but thats what his mother always says coz he is so
distracted these days! He takes a peek. “What

out all the light bulbs. “Damn Mexicans!!!â€, he mutters under his
breath. "Trying to sell taco at this hour of night!"
Crippled
from last week's accident, he languishingly limps through the dark
corridor, holding tightly onto a 0.357 Magnum only to find a shadow
lurking at the other end of the wall. "Show yourself...or I'll shoot" ,
he yells at the general direction of the shadow while moving slowly
towards it.
He utters silently "head I kill you, tail you die". But he couldn't find a coin to toss.It was mundane work as usual. Last nights hangover! My head hurts, so are legs, doctor can't say same ol' shit.
