Dude!

It's time to buy new iphone. It's better and CHEAPER than the previous one. Just get a new iphone and call your phone company and ask them to lock your lost iphone.

call ATT and get them to transfer u to sales dept. they might have different sales offers..
ani always threaten to go for another carrier. customer retention ko lagi they might do exceptions.
as far as using tmob sim is concerned. u have to unlock it. ask for subsidy unlock code.

there is no way.. at&t is gonna give u the subsidy code for an iPhone. the new iPhone will cost T-Mobile customers about - $375- $400..- ($199.00 with new 2yr activation and $175 or $200 for terminating the contract) n then u hav to wait for some nerd to unlock it. ( which could be a month or two, start July 11th)..
all in all $375 isn't too bad for the iPhone.
---- check out the white iPhone 3G.

@ latoboy..
i meant that if "someone" does figure out a way to unlock the iphone 3G, then T-Mobile customers can get their hands on one for that price: $375.00 - $400.00. since apple and AT&T are only selling the new iPhone 3G with a new 2-yr activation vs letting the customers have the option of activating themselves on iTunes as they did with the 1st generation iPhones.

let's b honest, how many of you would actually try to call the owner of the iPhone if we found one, well i wouldn't so hey start saving for the 3G.

the thing with this new Iphone is that ATT will force u to sign contract when u buy the Iphone...

before u could buy iphone from apple and run away to Tmobile.. but now, u cant do that... u have to sign with ATT 2 year contract and buy the $200 iphone in the store.. u cant buy thru online.

yes n the $199.99 price tag on the new iPhone 3G is just to fool the customers. look @ it this way- for all customers who get the iPhone 3G, AT&T plan for internet is $10 more than the previos internet package, the extra $10.00 is for 3G network. so that extra $10.00 for 24months = $240.00. so in total the iPhone 3G will actually cost- $199.99 + $240.00= $440.00; $40 more than the previous generation iPhones.

luckily for us (T-Mobile) its $375.00- $400.00. + unlocking fees. so we might actually get a better deal huh!!!! what say U..;)

Lol, r u kidding me? Different way to calculate profit:)(add every cost of the one and compare it with one cost of another)

How much you have pay for unlimited data access with T-Mobile?

As for the thread, I dont think there is anyway to figure out a lost one. BTW u never sync your iphone with your comp??

red_devil, your calculation is wrong unfortunately...

ATT iphone plan costs about $70 a month... so 24 months x $70 = $1680

with Tmobile  24 month service charges =  24 x 47 = $ 1128

tmobile unlimited data access can be gotten for $6 a month or u can pay $20 a month for almost the same thing.

@ Maverick.. u dont get unlimited data access for iPhone- for T-Mobile customers. i mentioned dat 'coz AT&T customers dont have any option they have to get the internet package they have. well, for T-mobile, if u've used the first generation unlocked iPhone then u might know that for $5.99.. u can use unlimited internet( dat's an option) well  even then  its  still  cheaper  isn't it-  $375.00 +  $5.99.. do the math..
@latoboy.. if u read carefully i mentioned $10 more than previous plan for INTERNET. so now AT&T customers pay $30.00 for 3G data plan which they have to add to a qualified voice plan; which is $10.00 more than the previous $20.00.. the $70.00 is voice plan included, i guess..

i only wish that the previous unlockin software worked with the new iPhone 3G too.. well, 1month n someones gonna unlock dat phone..

Rules have changed!!!! no more unlocked phones now...
or pay termination fee to AT&T for not registering new iphone within 30days of purchase.
