Lets vote for a new anthem
Guys which one is better, I vote for rato ra chandra.
Sayau thunka sounded like we all nepalis are hijadas without spine. There is nothing nepali in it and is generally applicable to any banana republic (if you replace the mechi, mahakarli and nepali words).

My vote goes for "rato ra chandra surya". For me first one dosen't even sound like proper National Anthem but something like a patriotic song. But now that is our National Anthem. k garne

well i would say rato ra chandra surya is definatelly better than sauyoo thunga.
but i am a terrible singer and i think most ppl r so i cant imagine if i had to sing rato ra chandra surye with 50 other ppl like me who cant sing. it would sound terrible. plus sayoo thunga is shorter and can be sung fast. rato ra would take a long time to sing. maybe they can make rato for ppl who can sing and have time and sauyo for ppl who cant and have less time.
One of the reason i "hate" this new mao's jungli, moogly like song is because of these words, "
बीरहरुका रगतले", In this era of technology - Globalization,
Maos have now decided to make every kids sing their revolutionary song ..
बीरहरुका रगतले....
as if their blood was the holly blood, responsible to kill over 15,000 innocents and yet pure enough to praise every morning by every Nepali kid at their schools.

Ani it is like an आलु . Fits for any context. Here is an example

ok who is going to ask the unnepali ungovernment to change it now????? maybe we can collect signatures from people and mail it to Prachanda??? or Girija?? or who there are so many greaking leaders seems like there are 2 freaking leaders for 1 nepali each..

Current national anthem is pathetic. Look at freaking music, sounds like " lok geet" by prem raja and komal oli. Old national anthem forget the words, but music was awesome! Shreeman gambira nepali is the best.
Lets all learn to sing in harmony, lets all learn to work as a team....lets all come together to make Nepal what we imagine in our heads....then we'll select what should be our anthem.
My vote also goes to "Rato Ra Chandra Surya". It is awesome!
Your thread and this voting won't change the national anthem which is already declared.So,guys lets stop making fun of our new anthem and lets give respect to it..
and by the way rato ra chandra surya is goof but is too long to be national anthem!....'sayaun thunga' is not bad,. and we should agree the fact that we will be teaching our kids this anthem.

Everything is changeable in this world nothing is fixed for eternity. I know this post alone will not change the anthem but we can always begin for the change if we believe the change is necessary.
Give me one good reason the present nepali anthem reflects nepal. Only good thing to me is it is short. Then why not take jai jai jai jai jai jai nepal as nepali anthem, it is even shorter and simpler.
