All know, People started getting the receipt for the H1-B.

Please post if you have been selected in the lottery process. Dont forget to mention these detail;
- Confirmed through check encashment or receipt
- Master/General category
- Applied through single employer/multiple employer

Congrats for lucky ones and sorry for those who missed the bus..

I am still waiting but one of my Indian Dhoti friend got the receipt.

k garne yaar....7 years lagayera study sidyayo....balla talla kati thau ma dhaiye pachi kaam payo....raaaaaaaandi ko chora haru le lottery garne bhanchan....kati tension linu.

just got mail from lawyer

Congratulations, your H-1B petition has been approved. We should receive the Approval Notice within a couple of weeks and well try to send them out in mid-May. We will contact you before sending to confirm an address. Thank you.

finally, the wait is over,

OPT card pani dec 18 dekhi start garnu parne dec 10th ma aathyo

and i got this approval today

so saathi haru,bhagwan ke ghar me der he andher nahin, now i belive that, and you should too.

So it was just yesterday they approved, so have faith guys, the game is definitely not over.

i talked to the damn company and the guy says mine was selected in the lottery...he does not have a receipt number (he said he talked to the attorney over the phone) but he tells me not to worry as its selected already, and that its waiting for the approval....i dont know when the attorneys got my receipt number, i dont know how long it will take for them to approve...i thought they issue the receipt notice and then approve it in a day or two....this wait has been just too long....the most worrisome wait in my whole damn life! anyone has any knowledge? anyone been through this???

I got following from my attorney,

"I just got your H1 receipt notice in the mail. You were chosen in the lottery.

I will send you a copy."

Now what should I do after I get the copy ?

Thats like a tracking number , u have fun, u got selected. You can use that number to see the status of ur application, and I believe it must have approved by now.
