USA visa Problem at entry port
Guys, One of my friend is coming to pursue his undergrad degree this spring. But dut to some problem he can arrive 2 weeks late. He took the permission from the university. Will there be any problem at the port of entry? Will the immigrant officer at the port of entry create some problem? How should he prepare for this.? He will be missing 2 weeks of classes but has informed the university.

if it is very emergency then just tell him to mak a print of that letter concerning the permission of delay. And if i was a councelor then that is a negetive impression but if the college accepts your reason then as far as i believe there should not be any obligation on port of entry. So always have an answer ready for that like i'm going to take some fast track course or i'm already taking some of the internet courses from here and so on..... get help from the advisor they'll give u as many reasons they can because u are their source of income and one important part of this country's economy. so take it easy........
i think he cannot enter the US,becuase the last possible date that u need to enter US is mentioned on the I-20 so if he comes after that date he can;t enter US,i don;t think this is anything with college ,but this is with the immigration office .and i don;t suggest anyone to take this risk.
HEY
I CAME TO US A WEEK AFTER MY DATE ON THE I 20, I GOT MY VISA THE THIRD TIME SO IT TOOK ME SUCH A LONG TIME BUT THE IMMIGRATION OFFICER DIDNOT ASK ME A QUESTION, JUST TAKE THE LETTER THAT THE UNIVERSITY SENDS U SAYING IT WILL BE OK FOR YOU TO MISS A CLASS, U WILL BE OK!
AND CHILL !
It's not a huge deal. He should get to enter the US without any trouble. He's entering the country legally- not illegally.
