Attack on Bahuntantra in Kathmandu

Finally, in the heart of Nepal, the land of Newars, kathmandu, people protested right in front of Girija chor with slogans like "Bahuntantra Murdabaad" Please go to the mysansar link below and check out the video therein. It's surprising, however, mysansar sees those guys as "Rajabadi". It seems anyone who protest against Bahuns are branded as "rajabadi". What a sad situation. The newars, who are indigenious people of the Valley are perhaps angry with shah kings for reasons, they would not fight for King, but against King. In my view these newars are now really pissed of with Bahuntantra,,, we bahuns should straighten ourselves. We should stop our shitty and dubious characters. Being a bahun, I feel ashamed now. The kantipur article hits the nail... i cannot deny the fact, reality written in that article. How can bahuns kill humans.. that i DON'T UNDERSTAND. Maoists did that. UML did that. NC did that. this is a gruesome picture of Nepal we all cannot deny.

I like the way this issue is being discussed here, like the similarities of America and Nepal being run by same kind of people over and over again. That is way i think that the idea of government structure where it should include people from all kinds repersenting various aspects of the society is important. Good discussion guys.

I am afraid if atrocities by nepalese bahuns, and killing acts of Maoists bahuns continue... one day I will have to face that minority oppression.. I do not want to face that.. so please bahun friends.. convince all our bahun politicians to keep mum and quit politicis for a while.

Guys; What you expect and crying for? Something did not go well in past or we other than Brahmin did not get equal opportunities neither our ancestor knew the benefit of getting education and forced us. They (Brahmin) went to Kasi (Banarasi), left home and done lot of sacrifice too. And we are sharing the consequences but let not cry for past, the new generation will get equal opportunities. I am not from Brahmin family, and given a choice, I would not have gone further than 2-3 years college. With this mentality, you can not compare Brahmin to others. We are more tend to leisure and fun.
