Hi Everyone, I am sure a lot of Sajhaites should be attending Grad Schools. I would really appreciate if someone could suggest me some Grad Schools for the Spring of '08- Schools with Finance program. Any suggestions about the grad schools that are either not too expensive (over $10,000 per semester) or provide scholarships/assistanceship would be really appreciated. One of the important factors that I would consider about grad schools is their placement rates (what percent of their graduates get placed by the time they graduate..). Some stats if they help at all.. GMAT - 585 Undergrad GPA- 3.4 2 years work experience. Thanks a lot in advance.

Do you have to declare your choice of concentration before joining the MBA program? Would it be possible to join the program as... say, Marketing concentration and then later (but within the 1st year) change to Finance? Would love to hear from the enlightened MBA'd minds. Thanks.

Also, mabhanya, if I were you, I would go for an MBA program that is ranked high rather than your run-of-the-mill school. Go for top 10 school (though you might want to take GMAT again and score higher). Good luck!

thanks a lot sillygirl, nepalihear and Riten. Riten, as far as I know, most of the schools let you change your concentration once they admit you for the particular school (business school/deparetment in our case). But I believe some of the schools require you to declare your concentration in advance....I may not be fully correct though. ...Yes I am definitely taking my GMAT again. I am planning to join some "kaam chalau" school for the Spring '08 just in case I dont get another project soon. I am very hopeful about getting a higher score next time..planning to take my GMAT within this month...lets see.. And about the top ten schools, I would love to attend one of those but I am sure it will be tough to get in. I will try my best with the next GMAT and see how well I can score. Thank you all again. You all have a wonderful weekend!!

Instead of doing MBA with a concentration in Finance, look at MA/MS in Finance or Statistics. GMAT of 585 is too low.

Caution!- Beware of the Competition in that field. It's all about the network at that level. The Network start with a top school.
