Since, Nepal government has decided not to celebrate the Prithivi Jayanti on Poush 27th, this year, it has affected to music as well! Bidhan Shrestha, who has made his own identity in the Nepali musical field, has become the greatest victim of this decision.
No doubt, he is always popular for his different, yet outstanding numbers like “Buhari Jhaar” and “Kalapani”. Politically Bidhan is not much of a believer; neither does he belongs to any political group, but since he has brought a song in the market some three years back, “Ekata Nai Bal Ho”, the song has a line in it that says, “ Haamra Bada Prithvi Ba le Bhaneka….. Ekata Nai Bal Ho” has been banned in media.
After the decision was made “not to celebrate Prithvi Jayanti”, amazingly the song was stopped being on aired from any radio or television medium.
It is not the first time; these things have happened in the Nepali media politics. Another song of his, “kalapani” was also banned through Channel Nepal without any reason.
I like that song and it is really sad. But what can we expect from the 8 parties who have divided the country to the one who have united the Nepal.
"HAMRA BADA PRITHIVI BA LE BHANEKA .........EKATA NAI BAL HO..............is there anything wrong in this statement. This chor maobadi will make all of us lose our identity.
Assholes always rule in Nepal, which is sad
Sacking corrupt king is one thing, sacking founder of nation is simply unacceptable.
"HAMRA BADA PRITHIVI BA LE BHANEKA .........EKATA NAI BAL HO.............." Its just a statement and very good statement, no matter who said it. So don't think anyone should have problem with it. If these stupid 8 parties or maoist have problem with it then may be they don't want and like "EKATA" (Unity) in our country.
I am really fed up with these small small issues created by 8 parties and maoist which is very senseless.
