There are 3 temples in an area, consider it to be a triangle. Adjacent to each temple, there is a pond. It is a rule that before going to the temple, u have to take bath in the pond. A person enters that area, with some number of flowers. While taking bath in the first pond, the amount of flowers gets doubled. He offers more that half of the flowers in the temple. Then he goes for another temple, and the process repeats. No. of flowers get doubled and again he offers more than half of the flowers in the temple. This happens the third time also. At the end, he notices that he has offered the same number of flowers in each temple and is left with nothing. With this data, try and find out how many flowers he had originally and how much he offered in each temple?

better answer, original number of flowers=7 flowers offered =8 ------------------------------------------------------------------- Let original number =x and flowers offered =y where logically y>x Then, 2(2(2x-y)-y)-y =0 2(4x-2y-y)-y=0 8x-7y=0 8x=7y x:y=7:8 Therefore, x=7k and y=8k
