Greetings Friends!!! My brother is very willing to pursue undergraduate study in US and has posed me a challenging question for which I have turned to Sajha.Com for recourse. I believe that sajhites will rescue me. Can any one tell me which university(ies) in US has the most number of students regardless of the field of study?? His(My brother's) conjecture is that he would be in fairly good position to get an I-20 from a university where the nepali students are in fairly large number. Can any one help me with the answer on this?? Appreciation for all generous effort in advance.

My effort is hardly generous, so you don't have to appreciate it. But may I say that your brother's conjecture is flawed. A university that doesn't have a single Nepali student may be more likely to admit him if his application is impressive enough.

.Saint Cloud State University in Minnesota has many Nepalese and people do get visa for that school. But the idea of "many" is subjective. How many is "many"? 200? 20? 100? 1000?

i recommend you to go that university where nepali are very few for good quality of education. I bet most of the nepalis that are pursuing undergrad here are not giving appropriate time for their education

nectar bro! Tell ur brother to give SAT, and apply to good universities ( usually there are few nepali students there), and go where he has to pay the minimum (max aid) among those colleges. Don't give a damn to the number of students. just focus on what u wanna do and where u could do it

If u want high no. of Nepalese students in university then look for universities in Minnesota or North Lake College in Dallas, TX. Those are the two towns that i know have large number of Nepalese students.. and probably in Omaha, Nebraska too! Good luck to you!

Thank you all for the information and opinion. The concern raised is genuine regarding quality of education to pursue. However, I have one argument to put forward. The university with high number of nepali students is likely to accept my brother's case who has an average academic standard. Although I m pushing him for best effort to get into good one, I also believe that keeping doors open to all options will ultimately give him some realistic chances of securing a seat. Thanks for those who suggested names of the two universities. I would still seek help for few more alternatives. I have heard of students in a university in Arkansas state in addition to Nebraska. Can any one zero-in to identify name of the university?? All effort highly appreciated. Thanks,

send him to the university you went to .. you seem like a smart and responsible person... i personally suggest sending him to Indian for undergraduate in engeneering or applied science and come here for masters degree with teaching or research assistance, and entering the job pool and gain experence and $$ in a short cut way....

send him somewhere where there are no nepalese. That way he would gain full potential and gain experience in living on his own and managing money. And most probably learning english. Which 9/10 people forget when they drop down here. For most people who come first here to a university their main goal is to transfer to a cheaper college drive fancy cars booze out in weekends and get laid and work full time or over time...and keep your degree pending forever.. And for most nepalese if they see other nepalese speaking in other language for example english (coz thats what they speak in the us) their initial reaction is, "english practice gareko or english bhukeko" they dont realize that if you get out of community college and your crappy job you would need to have a good comman in language to be a acceptable in professional field and that does not come in one day needs practice and proper education. Now if you keep sticking with bunch of these types of freinds***hint hing from nepal*** you would never prosper.. Yeah you need friends but keep your friendship aside and goal straight... any way dude life takes you where you go best of luck
