Hay,
I'm a guy living in the south fixing to move to DC, i was wondering about the local transport system there and how much a 2 bedroom apartment in the north west area around Univeristy Of District of Columbia would cost.
i'd appreciate any kind of help.
thanks
don't come to dc , dc sucks man. best you go to colorado or minnesota. or texas. dc is miserable. no work if you dont have paper.
ZAch--it differs, you'll have to look it up on the net. i suggest looking on washingtonpost.com.
that area aroiund UDC may be expensive only cause Md borders close by.
ZachDelaRocha!
I am not announcing I am in DC area right now but..
If you are by yourself, it might be cheaper if you find a room via
WWW.CRAIGSLIST.ORG and washingtonpost.com
If you have a bunch of other friends coming with you then renting the whole house and splitting the cost might be cheaper instead of an apartment.
Refer to CRAIGSLIST and washingtonpost.com again and compare/contrast among options.
Wherever you settle, safety should be the most important factor.

ZachDelaRocha,
DC is great. i have been living in Metro Washington Area for 10 years. I absolutly love this place. But keep in mind, its not cheap here. 2 bedroom apartment in NW will cost you at least $1500. Public transpotation is excellent. Compare to NY subways, DC subways are 100 times cleaner. Finding a job won't be bad either. There is a big Nepalese community here. Just have some contacts with you.
