Aashish bro! I know people who have been in accent in which the other party took off. But I believe you should get more than the fair market value for your car. Which insurance company is supposed to pay you? Tell you what, you might wanna seek legal advice or even representation depending on the pre-accident value of your car, your post-accident trauma, bodily injury or so forth. You could legally be awarded good sum of money. I would recommend you to seriously look into professional legal counselling. I hope the accident afflicted you no physical injury and Good luck. TM

Brother, Insurance companies usually try to settle you with low amount. There is really nothing you can do about it ...rather than thinking about it, drinking heine and smoking Camel. I would suggest you to call the settler again and tell him that the amount provided to you is not a fair amount. If you have already done so , then take the money and start a car hunt process. Legal counceling is bullshit unless you are injured. Remember they call'em Ambulance chasers, not accident chasers. Good luck !

dude.. threat them that u will sue them.. which state r u in? depending on state they have different laws. They try to rip you off but if you fight for your right usually they try to settle by giving u the reasonable amount good luck! at times deal with the big guy in the insurance co. not the representative of the insurance co.
