Nepali Fashion Designer makes it big
Prabal Gurung
Janet Jackson's belt was designed by him
I believe he is a designer with Bill Blass
Not doubting his artistic abilities, he looks like he goes the other way...
No offencem;)
The women's fashion industry is gay guys designing for women who want to impress other women.
E.g Gianne Versace, Dolce and Gabbana & many more.
While doing some research, it seems Victoria's Secret was started by a straight guy... :)
Victoria's Secret was established in San Francisco in 1977 by Roy Raymond. He then sold Victoria's Secret for $4 million to Leslie Wexner, the man who would mastermind the chain's real growth. In 1993, despondent over the failure of the businesses he started after selling his lingerie chain, Raymond jumped off the Golden Gate Bridge. But his legacy lives on, close to the hearts of millions of women each day.
Congrats to Prabal!
In 2004, I had the pleasure of meeting him in Kathmandu and doing some guff-suff at Patan's Dhokai Ma Cafe.
Great -- and may you succeed all the more in times ahead
