forget you all, the most beautiful state in live is 'OREGON', i mean in real capitol letters 'OREGON", you are only one hour from the beach, one hour from the mountains, one hour from any point of place you want to get. clean, no pollution, greeen all year around. cheap, friendly people, and weather you cannot find a better weather like oregon. so come on over and live in oregon. there are lots of jobs available. its a classy state.

Lake Tahoe(SNOW)
Half Moon Bay/Santa Cruz/San Diego(BEACH)
Palm County(DESERT)
Hills...mountains...beautiful scenic downtown Frisco with stunning view of Golden Gate Bridge & Alcatraz(The Rock).

SupariThula,

Capital...Virginia and DC is the best..So expensive, so no nepalese...Pentagon, White house, Potomac, Washington wizards, redskins...all here baby...ani Virginia ko Marlboro Churot ni???
dltaimpulse, I'm also in Omaha... lol... but, i doubt it's the best city to live in US... lol... anyway, it's not bad either. :)
yah, Agree with Mounteverst. West is best unless you want to live in big big cities. In Oregon, you don't pay sales tax and somebody will pump gas for you. I think, Oregan is third highest in minimunm pay after AL and WA. The streach of beach from Baja CA to all the way Vancouver BC is great. West got the best National Parks in US. Only thing is the rain in winter but still far more less than Seattle.
I think, Kansas, Idaho ( To much Racist), Nevada, Wyoming suck.
How is Montana? I heard they don't have speed limit there.
Hey anyone gone to Grand CAnyon....... if not ...... go there it's nice... place to visit........
go there for about 3-4 days and see the beauty.......

Define "best". Best for partying, attending concerts, making and saving money, dating, buying a house, going to school, getting a job, or for smokin up? Here's my shortlist
1. San Francisco
+ great weather all year round (except maybe 1 month in teh winter when it rains sporadically. But when it rains in frisco, it snows in Taho, so it's good for skiing/boarding I guess)
+ fun outdoors stuff - hiking, skiing, running, biking
+ tons of bars, restaurants, clubs
+ music scene vibrant
+ lots of young cool ppl
+ hi-paying jobs, esp in hi-tech
+ great universities (well 2)
- expensive
- Everywhere else is far
2. New York City
+ Tons of stuff to do - clubs, broadway shows, etc.
+ hi paying jobs, esp in financial services
+ subway
- expensive
- crazy ppl encounterd, but u get used to it
3. Boston
+ Nice cafes, bookstores
+ fun stuff to do, but u need to know ur way around I guess
+ great schools
- a little expensive
- summers hot and humid, winters cold (I guess this is true for all of New England)
4. Seattle
+ Good bands
+ Warm weather
- It rains like a bi*ch
-/+ microsoft
5. Austin
+ Great bands, live music
+ tons of young folks
+ fairly cheap
+ With the $$ for a crappy studio in manhattan, you could get a mansion here
- Arid and dry
- Need to drive everywhere
- rednecks
6. DC
+ Fun things to do esp in and around Georgetown, Dupont circle
+ Lots of young folks
+ Jobs in government (?)
+/- tons of nepali folks in VA/MD/DC
7. Chicago
+ Metropolitan
+ jobs in finance
- cold and windy in winter
Los Angeles is great weather wise, just like Kathmandu, not too hot not too cold.
U can get to lot of nice beaches (Venus beach, long beach, redondo beach, hunnington beach, manhattan beach, just to name a few) within 15-20 minutes from anywhere.
There are other attractions like universal studios, disney land, hollywood, close to sea world, 4 hours drive to Las Vegas.
But I guess anywhere is great as long as u love living there............
