According to anthropological study, Native Nepali and Indigenous people of Nepal did not create “Pitri Puja” yesterday. Pitri Puja is their native and the oldest Religion. Pitri Puja is the oldest religion in the whole world. Pitri Puja is older than these Buddhist, Christian, Muslim, Judaism, Khanphusim and Jain religion. If you study and research about Pitri Puja, you will find that it is the only true, purified and real religion. What is Pitri Puja? Pitri means “Ancestor” and Puja means “Pray” in Nepali word. Historical record tells Pitri Puja origin back in Stone Age. In Pitri puja, native and indigenous people pray for their ancestors… it is a time that they can remember and respect to their ancestors. But there is native way of cultural ritual to process Priti Puja. Conclusion: Whatever you read in your book is wrong. Read real anthropological books.

I am inquiring all these for myself. Is Pitri within the boudry of RESPECT AND DISRESPECT? Isn't it beyond the grip of human minds? Do they really care about respect or disrespect? I do not want to rely on any books or any authority. I want to test is myself. Is it possible? Shiva says attachment of any form- including the desire of God- can be a barrier in the path to Nirvan. I do not understand the fact that ,on one hand, Lord shiva ask us to give up attachment, the practice ,on the other hand, encourages attachment-attachment with ancestors. I see a conflict.

I do not think labastaro's questions are funny. He/she is trying to understand our dependency on somebody else's work.
