RULES FOR PLAYING MARRRIGE (NEPALI CARD GAME)
Can anyone plz tell me, if you lay down 7 pairs, how many more do you need to win (make game). Can that person arrange rest of the cards in the hand which ever way she/he wants or has to be another pair? How many points do you get for marriage? how many points for Tunnella?
depends on how you play but if you have 7 pairs down you will need to show one more to close the deal. Now if you have tunnella and want that to be panch ko maal then you will have get 8 pairs apart from that tunnella .Katai katai ta tunnella kuincha pani show so be careful.......
Need to have one more pair and you are done.
---> 10 or 15 points for marriage.
----> 5 for Tunnella if it's not Joker. If it is a joker tunnella then it will be 10. and If it's maal tunnella then it will be 15 (I guess)...
kya kya questions aaune sajha maa. Dherai bhayo marriage nakheleko.
he he he!!
Juwaadi Punti (kidding)!!
Thanks Ugly kid Aashish and CaMoFLaGeD. Ma Juwaadi hoina. I am trying to teach my husband, so that he can play with other nepalese guys when we go to nepalese getogether.
oh I miss that game. Used to play for like a week non-stop back in Nepal.
also,
-if you already have shown the 7 pairs, you would be 'less point', meaning if someone wins the hand before you do, you'd have zero points.
-if you go for dublee (show 7 pairs), the only way you can win is by showing another pair.
-points for marriage is 10, unless there is a rule for 'broken marriage', where if you use any of the 'maals' as a joker and not as a pure sequence, then you only get 7 instead of 10 points.
-tunella is 5 points, and depending on the khaal, you'd either have to 'pakaing' it, i.e. show other two sequences and see the maal, or not. joker tunellas are usually not rewarded any extra points. but a maal tunella can be worth anywhere from 10 to 15 points.
the rules of the game differ from khaal to khaal so its always good to ask these before sitting in.
damn, i miss dashain and the endless days of marriage.
Damn!! I miss this game so much. Still remember those days during Dashain - Tihar when we use to play it over and over for number of days. Reminds me of yelling by mom for being only engaged in playing.
