He is released because there is no law in Nepal against such crimes. There is no law against shooting child or adolscent pornography in Nepal. The charges over him was " jiu masne bechne or human trafficking" which he didn't do. There is even no strong law against pick pocketing and prostitution...so the accused get easily released in the court.

i dont' know whether his release is good or bad new,s but i know for damn sure that he was anything but innocne.t he himself admitted his mistakes, nepal samacharpatra le jail ma interview lina janan and tehy asked "दर्शक हरु लाई के भन्न चाहनुहुन्छ ?" and he said "maile galti suikarekai chu, yesle galti suikaryo bhanera mero geet sunirahe huncha" or somethign to that effect. i dno't remember the exact words. and he also said "tyo 17 barsa ko keti sanga ta dubai ko agreement ma garya ho. tyo baccha ko photo chahi khichna nahune. kasto aaucha bhanera kicheko ho".

Good news? That's pathetic. The guy was not acquitted of all the crimes. Apparently he served 6 mths for being a pedophile. It's sad that we have such a fragile law. Or is it nepali version of MJ case, considering the current sprint to free murderers and rapists? Fondness for his songs can not be justified to term this unfortunate happening as acceptable news, let alone a good one. IndisGuise.

yestai yestai niyam le gardaa ta nepal kahilai oobho laagna sakeko chaina ni... bakhraa ko khor aafai bhatkyo bhanthaanyaa ta feri aayo po?? saale laai thok!!! i thought only the people like Micheal jackson would wanna see him get back... someone should go to the parliament ( or where ever the law is written) and re-wright the phrase quick.. so he can be put to the cell again...

Good news? Are you guys insane? That guy admitted taking nude pictures of those girls;he denied involving himself in sexual activities though. No matter what, I am convinced his intentions were not good. He was basically exploiting the innocent, ignorant local village girls. He is sick. He needs some lessons on humanity and ethics.

they should put his picture in every neighborhood as a sex offender as they do in the United States to warn parents of little children. He should have been punished for what he did, but he got lucky like all the sick European old men that come to Nepal to exploit kids. That's what the new government needs to do with all the other things. Enact laws against sick mother $%#@ like Prakash Ojha. People ought to stop listening to his songs and radio stations sholuld stop playing his songs----effectively ending his career like that of Michael Jackson's... karma

About the title: 'innocent' is not a proper word in this case. It should be (found) 'not guilty'. Lack of evidence or lack of proper law to press charges does not mean one is guilty or innocent. That is one of the reasons US has stuck to the policy of branding either Guilty or Not Guilty to defendants, which is good. Who is at fault? Prakash Ojha, needlessly to say, is at fault. Everyone in the system, who never felt the need to bring laws to address these crimes are responsible as well. Why could not so many GOs and NGOs working for 'child welfare'never could press the govt to formulate proper ordinance? Why couldnot MPs pass a law that could indict an individual like him? About his song, I dont think its fair to ban his songs. However, its a good suggestion to make his name public - if that hasnt been dont yet- informing the people at large about the misdeeds he has accepted of doing. After that, people can decide for themselves whether they still wanna hear his songs. As for me, his crimes would not stop me from listening to his songs though.
