Behringer are pretty good for the price you pay.. for less than $100.00 you can get pretty good mixer with built in effects. For home studio I think its the best.

Revival, Grew up with Rock, Metals. And now into House, Trance and Techno and Hip Hop. I basically make anything that comes up into my mind with the equipments that I have. I'll add more equipments and things change with time.

Namaru Ji, 72nd St Band. I've heard that name mentioned quite often here on Sajha. Hey, at least your famous and your music are good. Rock N' Roll always live forever. Who's voice is that on those songs?

Lato Ji It's good to hear about your interest. I'm not an expert with DJing but I do have few info. I have no clue about traditional style DJ with turntable and vinyle. I have seen and touched once. Some one here might want to shade more light on this. This is if you want to go this route. But I do know that with new technologys, these days, you can achieve the same thing and more using a computer(usually a laptop), softwares and a basic midi controller. Well they might say it's not a real DJ, but if you can get the thing done, who cares. Also you might want to to look into the new turtables on the market. I think they're very advanced where you can hook them up with computer and DJ with CD and mp3. For the start, I can think of few names with turntable: Numark, Hercules, Pioneer, Stanton (???) Software:Traktor DJ, Virtual DJ, eJay You might wan to google and find those names, I might be wrong with the names. Find a good site that has tips, tutorials, get a book about DJ and go for local DJ show whenever you can. Get a good studio monitor(U definetly want that Bass more powerfual for DJ), headphone for cueing. I think this should be a start.

Bob Marley Jee... Direct box converts guitar signal into a balanced, frequency-compensated signal that you can feed directly into a mixer. It destroy the feedbacks. But I never really had to used direct box, just bought it because it was cheap. He he

Hey Lato, If you want to be a real dj you need turntables none of this CDJ crap(there sure are a lot of them out there these days he he). That too depends upon what you are looking for. Like if you want to learn, then there are a lotta cheap DJ packages for $300-$400(includes two cheapass turntables with a mixer and cartridges). But the Standard is Technics MK1200(used in all night clubs all over), I think they go for $400 each for brand new. Then you gotta get the cartriges(depending on if you want to strach or just plainly mix records), strach needles tend to be a bit lighter so they don't destroy records(or stract them) whereas the other are a bit heavy for richer sound. Needles can go up to $200 a pop depending upon what you are looking for(suggest doing your homework before you go buy them). After you've put your stuff togather, I would strongly suggest to learn how to beatmatch(you will never get a decent gig if you don't know how to do this). There sure are a lotta so called straight cut dj's(that don't know ABC about Djing, they just cut songs like it was cake. he he Thats when you get rude awakening on the Dance floor, when you hear Backstreet boys after AC/DC(you'll be going what the fug?). Bkaa bka bkaaa thats all folks !!

Namaru Battery is no better than ReDrum unless you have the single shot samples in nkt(???) format that's NI's propritary (I tell you the quality is damn good). If you want to use regular samples in WAV format, then ReDrum is all you need. I have the batttery and it's no use since I've the Synthetic samples in nkt format which I'm not that interested. Also Batttery is not a very stable thing in VST format, stand alone is good though. Renna22, Are U into trance? We got to share files sometime and get to know each other.

Oh, I was thinking that we can upload our Reason, Live, FL Studio files and comment, help each other. I desperately need help with mastering, I suck big time. And I always play with the headphone (it's the oright nly choice I have right now), you can play on your monitor, CDs and give suggestions and make cahnges. How's that?

I like battery cause it has a good liabary of sounds and sounds the most like a real drum. Plus the default pakage Hip-hop kit has 808's and all . Redrum plays any .wav you input into it but i don't like the sound of the kicks and the way it works. An satbility i think is a platform issue. Under OSX (Love MACs) Battery works solid as a VST and can be routed via REWIRE. Bob Marley do you use rewire to route your music on to your edditing software? How do you liek trigger finger, it really does look amzing! Dou think it will work with battery? Did you know that degidesign aquired M-audio so m-audio has realesed protools as well. Do you think the m-audio pro tools has a hardware lock or is it indipendant? A

Reena22, Yes I do use Reason, FL Studio Rewire with Live, that's my favorite way to get lot along. See, I do not have the library for Battery except for "Synthetic Drums" sound sample, so I have not been able to use it too much. Maybe you can help me with that if you can get me those samples. My email is Brenda_Budi@hotmail.com. Write to me and we can go from there. I'm very comfortable with ReDrum and do you work with routing the CV,Gate in Redrum with Subtractor to getting better kicks? I personally think there's nothing you cannot do in ReDrum compared to Battery. Of course the original samples that come with ReDrum is nothing good like Battery's quality. But Route them to getting better kick. Yes trigger Finger (TF) is cool and well built. It has its own flaws. I can program only 16 presets to use right now. To be able to use more, the Enigma software is the biggest confusing and complicated piece of software ever created. I have not been able to figure it out and there's nothing but complaint by the peoples. I think they'll update it soon. So far the 16 presets are fine with me and it's waesome with Battery, easy and feels great. But I have very few samples. I was a never IBM fan, nor I'm into Dedidesign of their proprietory software and hardware. Merger between the 2 companies, doesn't mean all the M-Audio hardware will work. Only few of them with ProTool work and TF is one of them. Yes, Dedidesign M-Audio pro tools has the lock and works with M-Audio new products only.
