Any US Passport Holder travelled to Nepal recently?
Did anyone? As per Nepal Government's notice on Jan 31st, they have started issuing on-arrival visa to foreign citizens of Nepalese origin. It is not quite clear however what their quarantine policy for NRNs. They seem to mandate 10 days quarantine for anyone traveling or transiting from the countries with new Covid variant? However, they haven't identified which countries are enlisted as such at the moment. If anyone with US passport or someone you knew travelled to Nepal recently, I would appreciate if you could share your experience. tia
I don't think anyone would be qurantining after reaching Nepal. With covid 19 test you might be safer than people in Nepal who are freely roaming, and even not wearing masks. I see people roaming freely next day reaching Nepal.
True. With all the demonstrations and rallies going on, doesn't really look like anyone cares anymore. The government does mandate 10 days quarantine to all the foreigners arriving in Nepal though, not a self quarantine but a supervised quarantine in a government approved hotel. I was curious if this is actually implemented and just wonder if they waiver this rule to the NRNs.
With a negative test report, I believe you can 'self qurantine' at home.
