I think that this chaos has provided the opportunity for younger leaders. And, Gagan Thapa seems to be trying his best to rise above the oldies who have been dominating Nepal' political for the last 4 decades.

He was sidelined by Nepali Congress just as Girija did to Ram and Laxman. Old generation leaders are like a Sadhe who can not climb cow and make baby but want to be the boss rest of his life.

Logan, I also heard about Girija Koirala sidelining Gagan Thapa in the politics. But, I think that argument is weak at the best. Leaders are not made by a certain person. If that was the case, Rahul Gandhi would have been the PM not Modi. Leaders are chosen by the people.

Despite all the hardships from the senior leaders such as Girija Koirala, Gagan has shown perseverance and determination. I think that he may be getting there soon on his own ability.
