Is it possible to file Green Card without H1b if the company is willing to do that?
just curious if its possible or not, looking online they say its possible
Absolutely! I say go for it. Why be in a temporary status if you have that option?
dude you should be asking this question to a reputable immi attorney not to a forum
@username619 - always remember this - GC through employment is based on future employment. It is NOT what you did in the past or currently doing but what you will be doing when you have your GC.
H1B is just a temporary immigration status that lets you work and maintain your immigration status in USA.
You can file GC even if you are in F1 status. I hope we are still talking about GC through employment.
How many company do you really find that is willing to do it?...The burden lies to you and company to prove your process.
Many times it is asking the right questions. I have known a few people who talked to their employers and applied for GC when they were at OPT. If course, those people were very valuable for the company as well. So it is quite possible.
Yes i was talking through employment, I didn't get selected for H1b lottery this year, so I asked my company to file it directly, thanks guys -- My company is like 50-50 in doing that, they know that I am valuable to the company, just waiting for the final decision.
Good luck @username819 I had mine sponsor for h1b and GC this year. No h1 but submitted my signed PERM letters today. Headed to the right direction, so basically it's possible.
