I am trying to open a bank account and also i am trying to get a new driving licences. i have no car. A shop near my apartment want me to work with him. but he say he will only give cash to work and it is per day basis.
i am thinking to join this job because this is near my house and want to be busy until i found another job. please suggest me if it is good idea or not working in cash .
what is the bad point of working in cash or i need to stay ideal for some time and wait until i find another job . i am very new to usa.

What is your immigration status? If green card, you can work any job. If student, it's advisable not to work on cash specially if you don't know much about USA immigration rules. Students are not allowed to work illegally, and if caught working either on cash or social security, you might loose your student status. Some students work but are very careful and smart to avoid school official or immigration official

You can work on cash, no issues.
Unless u don’t have to sponsor someone in near future or need state basic health insurance cash.

There is a new public charge rule, which could affect future Naturalization process. Even though it does not affect the earning now, Future SS benefits ta hunna ni. You miss out credit on Social security. Ranger 1, since you are new here, do as much you can work. Thorai earning could help in school n all, but won’t help to sponsor somebody from Nepal. so far my all family are in USA as a green card winner. due to big family i have prssure to work as soon as possible. he is offering me 120 usd per day for 10 hour shift. without working i am only able to sustain 6 months in usa ? how do you solve my situation if you were in my place.

I’m not saying don’t do it. Money looks okay and no other options you have to do it. You making almost 4K per months. That’s not bad. May be if you have a big family try moving to a small city- where you have companies like Amazon, UPS, or others. Even Amazon starts with 15-17 bucks per hour, good insurance and school opportunities
