Visitor Visa Renewal - Interview
My Parents had recently applied to renew their B1/B2 Visa. It was due expiration in a few weeks. However, they received notification for an interview instead and have asked to only bring very limited stuff like passport, DS-160 completed form etc.
When they were here last time they stayed less than 6 months and did not violate any laws.
Anyone with a similar experience? From what I have heard most people visitor visa gets renewed without an interview.
They interview and ask detail questions very much similar to brand new applicants . If they did not violate visitor visa previously should be okay.
Should they still take proof to show their ties to the country or will they only ask questions as this is renewal?
No such paperwork required, not even fir first application these days. They don’t even accept those. It’s all based on interview questioning.
