I recently accepted an offer in McLean, VA. I looked up some apartments around there and it is discouragingly expensive and places little far from McLean might not be ideal due to the notorious traffic.
Can anyone please suggest good areas to live around McLean?

if you are looking for less than 1400 for a single bed.. you are out of luck tbh.. your best bet would be around annandale, springfield areas. From annandale the commute is not that bad. anything up from there you are looking at 1 hr commute each way.

i drive from annandale to mclean daily and it's like 20-30 mins normally.

or you can go out even further; take the EZ-pass lane daily and pay 15-40$ each way depending on traffic. then you could move to stafford :P
