changing job after greencard eb2
I know this question has been asked many times before. But I don't want to work with my current employer( reason low pay rural area) just got green card. Can I move after one/two month or so without jeopardizing my prospects of citizenship later.
People would suggest 6 months but that looks a longer period for me.
Anyone had or heard of someone getting hardtime during citizenship interview from changing jobs earlier than 6 months ?
Would appreciate ...
I did 3 weeks!!! If u want to Fu*K them Fuc*K them!!! you r free Bird!!!
@ whatajoke
Did you received you gc through employer when you changed job after 3 weeks of receiving gc. Are you a citizen ? any complication during gc interview?
Naturalization interview consists of civics questions. And then yes/no question on the n400. They won't care about job changes since eligibility to citizenship is the years passed after gc and your Civic crime free life.
Imagine if you got fired next day after getting a gc, would that invalidate your rights to citizenship? It wouldn't.
wtf u worried about citizen!!! u sucker think too much!!! make it simple!!!

I guess you weren't born here if not then what's wrong with my question?
if you can't don't answer the post. Simple.
You can change the job due to 1000s of reason and I don't understand why people are so afraid of switching jobs due to this made up 6 months rule. I have seen no one every get questioned. I am pretty much sure office doesn't even know how you got your green card.
Absolutely, people need to have some common sense!!!
yeah thanks but everyone says so but whoever I asked said "by the way no I stayed till 6 months" so thats why and the rule is in gray area regarding "a bona fide job offer that you intend to accept once your Form I 485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, is approved"
Anyways thank you folks.

P.S: One of my colleague told me his wife's coworker was denied Naturalization (via EB) because he could not provide strong valid reason for leaving sponsored job right away after having GC.
