Can Assyle spouse travel to home country?

Is it recommended for Assyle spouse (AS7) to travel to home country directly if I have Green card? Do I need Travel document for entry? How convenient is it to do back and forth from home country?

I don"t see any reason why Asylee spouse can't travel directly.

That’s what I thought too. But, just want to be on safe side after reviewing various forums in google where they have mixed answer.
