Due to a bad decision I made in the early years when I was enrolled as an international student, I fell out of status. Those were my darkest days. The first thing I did after TPS was granted was I went back to college and completed my bachelors. This was last December. I have a STEM degree but no OPT, because I wasn't F-1.
It has been over a month and half after reapplying for the extension and my status still says processing. My anxiety is compounding every day to the point that I am beginning to panic. I want to go to graduate school. Does anyone know an affordable college with CPT? Or, any advice is greatly appreciated. Trying to reclaim my life, I am all ears.

If you are able to reinstate your status to F1 before the expiration of TPS, you should be able to apply for OPT as you have not used your OPT (given you have completed your undergrad and your are eligible for OPT). However, it's taking about 10 months to a year to change your status to F1 from other statuses nowadays. So, doing things timely may help you.

Thank you, I have been looking into different universities, and hope to apply before the end of August.
