Hello Sajha expert mitra haru,
Being in the states for decade, I am still trying to settle down. Too many up and downs in life it's natural, but trying not to give up. Did too many different paycheck to paycheck jobs. Did all minimum pay jobs in random places for years. Having a undergraduate degree (Business), didn't put me on a job that could help me grow. Reading all the post on sajha, I thought IT will be a best option to make a career. I am thinking to make a career in IT. I am trying not to upraised my experience, lie about the IT background and land a job and get fired. I am interested in either QA or BA. I want to starts with basics and get into the IT world as a fresh entry level position. I am thinking to spend about 1-2 years from now to work on it. I am not thinking to go back to college for another undergrad (IT). I rather do self study or virtual classes and have some certifications. I am not that aware of what certification on BA/QA could help me land a job in future so that I can start working on it. What will be the best cert to have and doable for average student not that brilliant one. How long does the cert be good through. I did google some but they all make me confused. I am not into coding. All the suggestions will be highly appreciated. Thank you all in advance.

I strongly agree with you that lying about the IT background in order to get a job is really hard and it is hard to keep lying about it even after getting a job until you are well confident. But, we are in US and being in IT career is one of the best way of sustaining in US with legal status if you would not prefer to try the shortcuts like Army, Asylum and others.
Choosing BA or QA is very good idea as you do not have any IT background. I think you should go for it..Just take training from any consultancy and try to get a job.
I know it gonna be hard but better to get job and sustain your legal status than losing your hope.
Hope it helped you.
