Transferring College credit from Nepal
Hi, I am planning to transfer my credit from Advance Engineering college (AEC), Kathmandu, nepal to a university in America. i have studied 3 years in nepal. Few of my friends did the credit evaluation from WES. I checked with one university and they said they accept WES. So I begin the process and and send them my transcript on an envelope from AEC. I had the envelope stamped by college, and my college is TU affiliated. I mailed the docs to WES but they didn't accept it. I tried contacting them and keep getting same email saying official transcript sealed. I checked with my college they don't give the official transcript since I didn't graduate, only my mark sheets. Some of my friends said i have to get my mark sheets attested from Department of education, some says from TU. Im not sure what is the right way and since I'm already in US its hard to try out both. Could anyone help me with the procedure? Im already late for fall semester. I appreciate any advice.
If you already spent 3 yrs ion engineering school go back and complete 1 more year, get degree and join Master Program in US, thats the efficient way. I guess credit transfer is not that easy ,some cases us college courses also not transferable in some university . Any way good luck to you.
@submark. Thanks for your suggestion. In Nepal exams routine gets released late and hard to plan travel. I want to try out the transfer, since Im already here, and see if that helps, after that i can decide what to do. Thats why trying to follow right process.
If anyone can post necessary steps like where to go to attest mark sheets in Nepal and how to get the certified seal on the envelope. I would really appreciate it.
@coolram01. For WES evaluation you need your certificates attested from the University. If Advance Engineering college is affiliated to TU get it done from TU in a sealed envelope from TU and send it to WES. You will have to go to TU office in Balkhu Kathamandu with your origianl certificates. That's what I did when I attested my undergraduate transkripts from TU

@haanbahadur.. thank you very much. I will follow your advice. This is what I was looking for.
@haanbahadur.. one more thing, you mentioned to take original certificates to TU. I dont have original certificate or transkript, since I didn't graduate there. I only have marksheets for all semesters from my college. It looks like on A4 paper printed, looks like photo copy and because of folding its getting old. Can I make photocopy and take the marksheets for attestation or is there any way I can get the transkript from TU? Please let me know.
@coolram01 . I don't think TU will attest your certificates without the original ones so those marksheets you have is the only document you can get attested .
