I am trying to go for Masters degree on one of these two. Which one has better future? in terms of job openings and money.
Data Science, or Cybersecurity?

Both has good future but then again these are VAST world on their own. Be specific on what you want to do n...
Data Science:
No Clue.. (not sure what a Data Scientist does as 'Data' could have different meanings depending on contexts)
CyberSecurity:
Job Openings -> Plenty
Money-> Could range up to 250K and higher, if you are a CISO

lol CISO is on the top of the security food chain. Don't dream of going there yet..
For a start you will probably be looking into Splunk logs or if you get lucky configure routers / switches. Routers and switches are network stuff but that's where the security food chain starts ...
google OSI stack you usually start at the bottom in the job too ..after you get to layer 4 and above it starts to get interesting.
Raising this thread back from the grave. Any splunk experts out there?
Shocking no Splunk gurus in nepali community?
Don't be shocked! Not everyone in CyberSec is supposed to know Splunk. There are plenty of SIEM solutions out there, and it just happens to be one of them.
I may recall some knowledge from the past and be able to provide some insight. Let me know if you have any specific questions.
Cheers!
