you are a POS. He clearly said "Did I beat or cut him off".. Don't put title like that if you are not sure.

Agree. They say he beat him, but he denies it. There's no proof of it in the video, don't put clickbait title just to get some views.

The tourist is clearly not the sharpest person- you can't be screaming at the locals when you are alone and in a foreign land. He is lucky that other bystanders didn't reciprocate and the cops intervened. Also, there should've been somebody who could calm both sides down. We don't want to beat upon a tourist, also shouldn't get harassed back as well.

Nepal, especially Kathmandu is becoming a sh*t hole. People are very rude and tourists are getting ripped off by everyone. Thamel has become the worst place in the country. People selling synthetics at crazy price as 100% yak wool and Cashmere. Shop keepers selling metal jewelry as silver. Restaurants charging 10% service charge (which is basically tips) plus 20% VAT without telling their customers before hand. No one wants to bargain anymore since Chinese tourists pay heft amounts of money. Tourists are being followed and solicited by beggars, shop keepers. Sometimes it feels like any Indian city. Nepal is starting to slowly lose its identity. I was there a month ago for 3 weeks and it was just horrible to see how people and the place have changed to bad.

And the taxi drivers... oh yeah they will not take you and let you pay off the meter. They will ask right away a flat rate. For a trip that could cost Rs200 on the meter, they will ask Rs500.
There are many of those drivers lined up in Thamel. When I wanted to get a cab from Thamel to Boudha, there were many but everyone refused to take me. Then one of the drivers told me that they were waiting for "that" tourist that would pay Rs1500-Rs2000 to go to Hyatt from thamel.

It just look like loud blaming and raging than any kind of physical clash. The tourist looks enraged with an unread person and perhaps got misconceived or something. People didn't engage in the dispute right on as they are deemed guest in any touristic place of Nepal and usually get the benefits of good treatments from the locals. It look as if,it's his lucky day to get away in such a good fashion;had he been engaged with late night, charged up urchins in that way,he would have found himself in a nearby medical, after all guests are gods or something!

There is only one guy with the balls who defended the poor guy who misused the word 'beat him'. Hats off to this guy.
The white arrogant guy with loud voice thinks he can demolish the whole crowd.
