yes media has been lying their ass off, Trump never claimed he surpassed Obama in 2009, all he was saying was hey ! at least it wasn't pathetic and wasn't just around 250000 that dishonest medias tried to claim. . and remember in 2009 security was more relaxed !! all he was saying is if obama in 2009 was 1.5 million , 2017 it was at least 1 million , when u take pic at lowest gathering time and compare it to obma's highest time , CNN NBC wins!! people lose !!

Why Trump administration has to go after media regarding the numbers of visitors in him inauguration. IF it is less so what ? Why he has to make fuss about it?

If people were paid for lodging and fooding as well trasportation may have visited by deplorable.

For sure it was not over crowded like in Obama 2009 but it was not empty like they are showing everywhere. Paid CNN , ABC, NBC never showed full crowd after they gathered .

Dishonest liberal media NYT twit started it with no. claim relying just based on pic. and hence Trump's rebuttal saying, " you scrutinize my every twit why can't I make you responsible too ?"

Neither number is correct, according to the transit system, which reported 570,557 entries into the rail system on Friday, compared with 782,000 on Inauguration Day in 2013.

These pictures were taken at about the SAME time for that particular inauguration day, so to say that the picture taken during Trump's inauguration was before the crowd gathered is not true.

Many major TV stations didn't even talk about the crowd size on Friday. It was Trump himself who made a big deal out of such a trivial matter. Shall we stop living in our own small comfort world of alternative reality?

I think there were a lot of variables involved in the crowd factor but to be fair there were a lot of blockades made so people could not get in.

To show the full traffic at obama's inauguration and show the picture that was not peak time for Trump is not same comparision. Here's a picture that refutes the CNN pictures

I think I should give another definition to Virtual Reality:

Just like for every stupid thing that happens in the world, the turnout actually was 1.5 millions just like Trump said and ALL those TV networks including the non partisan Nielsen numbers (which accurately puts FOX NEWS on top of the cable news networks for the audience numbers), and Metro numbers were part of that conspiracy -- or what our Nepali leader Girija Prasad Koirala famously used to say, "grand design."

I don't know what the pictures posted were trying to prove, but the security fencing that was installed around the National Mall for the inauguration had seven check points and there was NO magnetometers on the National Mall or that there was any difficulty getting to the national mall...all according to the Secret Service.

And the same building picture..well, I thought the building does look smaller if the picture is taken from the distance.

Instead of arguing who's big just understand there is no scientific method to very anybody's claim. so no one is right or wrong to precision.

But this wasn't the only issue, the MLK statue removal fake news was another Trump has complained but surprisingly no medias at all talks about it since they know they are fuked up big. All fake liberals news claims Trump's fascinated with numbers and rating but not an attempt that they failed big to portray him as racist.. what dishonest time we live in !! only this election opened my eyes wide.

It is surprising and as well thinking of mental status of US President talking about the crowd. I think it is childish talk like talking and comparing how many friends and family were in my 10th birthday. When is he going to graduate from Kindergarten talk and behavior as well?

While I was in college , college elect president was very bad on delivering his message and speeches. Couple month later he improved a lot and it was amazing.
But Trump was in campaign since 2015 and attended and delivered hundreds of speeches by now he should have grown up and act like a president. How you say the same sentence gives different meaning.

We can not do anything other than expressing our concern but it would be better if mr. Trump acts as a leader of the world not as a owner of Trump Tower business. So my point is you are not a Trump business owner but the world leader and act accordingly.

Bill Clintons inauguration had the record, 29 millions. Total Viewer / Population and availability of News media.

You take it this way the value of a dollar in 1993 and 2017 will not be the same. Therefor his inauguration was globally watched.
