Questions post I140 approval
All,
Finally I140 is approved yay!! and now I am in process of reviewing documents (with lawyer) for next step.
I have question about two documents:
1. Form I-131: Application for Travel Document (Advance Parole)
2. Form I-765: Application for Employment Authorization.
Questions:
1. Does these applications have fees?
2. Should I file I-131 and I-765 with I-485?
I won't be travelling before getting Green Card. Is I-131 required to travel on green card status?
My H1B is still valid for a year. So do I need to file I-765? I don't think I need to file I-765 after getting GC, isn't it? What are the advantages of filing I-765 now? I am not intending to leave my employer.
3. I-485: I think this is the only one that's required.
I-485 fee is $1070. You can apply I-131 and I-765 for no extra fee. I would apply just in case.
Yes, found that those are free with i485. Was thinking like TPS. Thanks.
Mancini,
Congratulations for your I-140 approval. It is recommended that petitioner submit I-131 and I-765 in case COS takes more than your current EAD expires (In some case it could take more than couple of years). Since you are already applying for I-131 and I-765 I would recommend you check couple of things where people get RFE most:
1. Check if Civil surgeon sign your I-693 ( some times they forget to sign)
2. Make sure your birth certificate in is English. ( if not better translate it)
Hope it helps .
P.S: It is not a legal advice .
Mancini

sara_solta11,
I got my Birth Certificate from Municipality in English with the below wording. I hope it is fine.
Certificate of Birth
This is to certify that Mr. XXXX, son of Mr. XXXX (Father ) and Mrs. YYYY (Mother) was born in XXXX Municipality(City), XXXX (District), Nepal on XX/XX/XXXX.
The above information has been correctly taken from the original record of birth which is in the register for XXXX Municipality (City), XXXX (District), XXXX (Zone), Nepal.
I have copies of medical report with me and he has signed in properly :)

Guys, Should I file TPS or do you think its not necessary?
Guys,
I did not write A-Number in form I-693. On USCIS instructions it says "If
you do not have one, or if you cannot remember what it is, leave this space blank."
What do you guys suggest? Should I ask my USCIS doctor to write A-Number and reseal document?
