Turning to you Sajha friends. Been in Nepal for awhile and family wants to know if I like foto of prospective brides. I'm sure many of you guys/girls of age in Sajha have gone through similar experiences and felt this rather unusualness, so was wondering if you have any suggestion or advice.

Just marry whoever you think is compatible and know them after marriage.And remember you might have a image of perfect bride in your mind but thats just the illusion.Reality is never what you think it is.When you know someone closely you will find out she is not what you think she is and your bride will find out you are not what she think you are.And eventually you have to adjust or get divorce.

Make sure you talk with the girls and try to explain the US situation (I do not think they will understand though). Depending on your visa status, let them know they may or may not be able to work legally. Many girls go crazy when they have nothing to do and they are alone and husband out for work...they may not even know how to use sajha...

Even though it is arranged try to date girl and know each other's behavior before marriage . You tell what your plans are and make sure she tells her side of story . Make sure at least you like something about her and she likes something about you before marriage. Make sure you both have something in common so you don't regret later .
