Nepal maa kati soon lagna paaucha?
just curious if anyone has experience taking soon to nepal. thanks
50 grams (less than 5 tola).
thanks Sherlock, do they check thoroughly if you take a little more for family weeding?
family weeding? i don't think Nepali custom officials and cops will be happy if you cited weeding as a reason.
My mother took 15-20 tola once (rings, necklace, bracelets etc). I've taken five one-oz biscuits myself which is about 12-13 tolas. Cops might give you a hard time but at the same time, your flight origin might come to your rescue. I highly doubt they'd treat someone returning from the middle east with equal 'respect' as someone returning back from Europe or North America, for example.
thanks Sherlock, so what did the airport official do to your mom or you? did they find out? PM me if it is personal. thanks.

they didn't find out. They'd have grilled me if I'd been caught albeit I'd have cited wedding as a reason.
bringing biscuits is frowned upon more than jewelry.
