GreenCard through EB3 or DV?
Here is the situation:
On one side the GC process through my work has started last week for the EB3 category
& on the other side, I'm selected for the DV lottery?
Which route for GC better in my case? Any suggestion is appreciated.
Thanks.
None, go back to where you came from.
Definitely DV, you can apply for adjustment of status from coming October.
@cp21: seems like your TPS has been denied.
Go with DV..no hassles of labor certification and you save time and money too...
Depends upon your case no:
If your case number is above 7500. Your chances for 2nd letter is low.
You can check last year visa bulletin as well.
GC through EB3 category looks incredible. You will have story to tell, and more hatred for folks getting GC the other way.
Congrats sathi! I would go the DV route if your rank is low. I guess less than 15 - 20,000. Even if it isn't, since EB3 takes some time anyway, isn't it possible to try both? Let the recruiting and stuff happen for EB3 and move ahead with DV. You should find out about DV sooner and can withdraw EB3 if needed. Consult a lawyer though.
With EB3, there's a chance you might get audited which can extend the process. Also if some US candidate applies for your position and meets the requirements, your EB3 process has to be restarted. My suggestion would be to go simultaneously if you are in the early phase of EB3. Consult a lawyer sathi. Good luck and congrats again!
Which one is easy and hassle free?
Have you heard this proverb ?
किन चाउरिस मरिच अरुको ढाहा र इर्स्या गरेर ?
Thanks for the suggestion. I will be talking to a lawyer later this week.
I am not sure what RANK are you guys talking about.
Is it the last digits of the case number?
Mine looks somewhat like this: xxxxxxxx000499
So is that Ranked low or high.
damn lucky...you will get GC on this october...1st lot...you can do early apply i guess
Your rank order number (case number) indicates that you'll have your DV Interview on the first month of DV 2017 which is October 2016. Go for this one.
