Pokhara Intl Airport foundation stone laid!!
I'm happy Pokhreli hippe hippe!!!!, Finally the dream of having an Intl Airport in our city has came true, PM Oli laid foundation stone on April 13th 2016 with the investment of 21 billion ruppes from China of which 75% is on 2% interest rate and 25% interest free. I'm happy that this will bring a good economic change in Nepal if tourism remains the factor and city open its heart to the tourists and treat em well. I'm also bit concerned if the Airport will be of International standard. Since foundation for the airport is laid, political leaders of Nepal who have corruption laid on em the second they enter politics, I'm bit worried if the airport will be up to the expectation of the people, How can we start a campaign and demand transparency of the budget? Jau hai Pokhara! Cheers!!
Sad but true
What's your source wd how long will it take??
I guess ppl will travel to Manag n mustang more now
Here's the link to The Himalayan Times.
The Project will end in 2020. Hippe!!

Probably not till 2050 lol

@khaobaadi, This is one hell of a bird, Does Nepal air even have 747-400??
Lol WakkaDikka,
Presumably, people are hoping to see 747s fly out of Pokhara International Airport when it is built.
@ Khaobadi, Man wouldn't that be awesome?
Look at the politicians all smiles in picture.. They must be thinking of the $$$$$ lmao
You can demand transparency but they are very smart, they will find a way to make money somehow. As for the airport, keep your expectations low. By international airport, its probably going to be a small airport with just few international flights to India, China.
