How to receive money from Nepal?
Is there any legal way to receive money, say an amount of $50,000, from Nepal? Say my parents want to transfer this amount to my bank account here.
From what I have heard, Hundi is the only way. But when we use Hundi, won't the sender's name be different from y parents' name? And if that is the case, how can I claim that it is the money sent by my parents as their name will not appear anywhere in the bank- transfer information?
U have to know that hundi is illegal in nepal.
So what are the options to receive money from Nepal then?
get it wired from third country.
Its difficult to receive money from Nepal , it's nothing to do with USA. It's Nepal that doesn't allow money to be sent without a reason and "I want to buy a house is not a reason ". Here is the policy , " It is not in the interest of Nepal, a third world country with very poor economy to send money out to a developed nation'. They only wanna receive , not send.
See if you can contact Standard Chartered bank as they have a branch somewhere in TX. Having an account there might help transferring between the locations. It's just a hunch.
If you are serious we can help each other out.
I can receive money by hundi. It is not a problem. But the money comes from HongKong and I am from Nepal. If ever there is a check on my bank account, I cannot even claim that it was money sent by my parents after selling their land. My parents name will be nowhere on the sender's information.
better account bank account in hongkong and get wired
I am trying to send money to nepal. If everything worked out i can wired money from my account to yours. Let me know if this is something you are looking for. If money is coming from my usa account then there would be no question about it gham-pani
