@prem101Driver licence issued at Minnesota and currently out of minnesota, My another question is that do i have to physically be present to renew my licence?

yes you have to be physically in dmv to renew licence in MN.

@prem 101 : So my opt expires in june so would they extend my status check based on my opt or what other option I have got in this to extend my status?

yeah they will extend till the opt expiration date. Other option depends on your planning like extension of opt, h1b ...etc. DVM in MN needs the legal date (i20,opt,h1b) to put on the licence. Other option could be a licence from other states which doesn't bother status check...like WA, New Mexico, etc.... they blindly give you licence for certain years.
